Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of type me at https://typeme.fun and the interview app at https://typeme.fun/app. By creating an account, signing in with Google, starting an interview, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
type me provides an adaptive voice (and optional text) interview that builds a structured belief / worldview map and related scores from how you answer. Features may include microphone capture, speech recognition, AI follow-up questions, belief extraction, mind maps, political / philosophical compass-style results, optional audio evidence retention, and Google account authentication. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the interview. You must be able to form a binding contract and must not be barred from using the service under applicable law.
3. Account and Google Sign-In
Access to interviews requires Google Sign-In on the app page (https://typeme.fun/app). The public homepage does not require login. You authorize us to receive basic Google profile information (openid, email, profile) and to create a type me account linked to your Google ID. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may sign out in the product or revoke access in Google Account settings.
4. Permissions you grant
- Microphone — to capture speech during sessions;
- Voice processing — send audio to speech providers for transcription and TTS;
- AI analysis — process transcripts with language models to ask follow-ups and build your map;
- Sensitive profiling — store inferences about political / philosophical positions derived from your answers (not clinical diagnoses);
- Optional audio retention — if you enable “keep audio as evidence,” store session audio for that session;
- Account linkage — associate sessions with your Google-authenticated user record.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to probe or attack the service, bypass authentication or rate limits, harass others, exploit minors, upload malware, or misrepresent outputs as professional medical or clinical advice.
6. Nature of results
Belief models and compass scores are automated and incomplete. They are for reflection and conversation — not psychological diagnoses, therapy, or medical advice. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.
7. Disclaimers and liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ACCURACY OF PROFILES OR SCORES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
